  8.        Jim Hood owns SSP Consulting and Software which specializes in
  9.        computer training and software for NEW computer users, retirees 
  10.        and small businesses new to computers. He also owns Seattle 
  11.        Scientific Photography which provides 35mm lecture and 
  12.        presentation slides for medical, litagation and corporate use. 
  13.        
  14.        Jim resides about 3 miles from Seattle, Washington on Mercer 
  15.        Island, a city of about 24,000 people in the middle of Lake 
  16.        Washington. A former coordinator for the Mercer Island Computer 
  17.        Club, Jim divides his time between computer related hobby 
  18.        activities and the operation of both Seattle Scientific Photography 
  19.        and SSP Consulting working with small businesses, retirees and 
  20.        new comptuer users bringing people up to speed on the excitement 
  21.        of using a computer for the first time for fast results.

  23.        Jim also wrote the computer program, the $hareware Marketing 
  24.        $ystem which provides an extensive mailing list of over 3,000 
  25.        national computer clubs, software distributors and magazine 
  26.        editors which software programmers use as a mailing list and 
  27.        marketing tutorial to distribute their software products. 
  28.        
  29.        That program also contains a detailed tutorial concerning 
  30.        techniques for effective creation, distribution and sales of 
  31.        shareware software. Jim also provides consulting to computer 
  32.        programmers seeking to market their software via the shareware 
  33.        method of software distribution.

  35.        Jim attended the University of Sophia in Tokyo, Japan and 
  36.        Seattle University in Seattle. The introductory screen and 
  37.        menu displays of PC-LEARN are machine code driven. If you or 
  38.        your business would like to add menus and color display systems 
  39.        to your programs which are similar to those used in PC-LEARN, 
  40.        contact Jim. Your company could design a special internal 
  41.        training or production software program which looks and works 
  42.        like PC-LEARN but contains special information, tutorials or
  43.        data unique to your company needs!

  45.        This program has absorbed approximately 1,400 hours of 
  46.        programming, editing and research time. PC-LEARN was written for 
  47.        and is dedicated to the members of the Mercer Island Computer 
  48.        Club.

  51.        startup/cover screen containing your company message or computer 
  52.        club message, contact Jim. If you elect to make your program 
  53.        shareware, your message and PC-LEARN will thus be distributed 
  54.        in a public manner since PC-LEARN is shareware!
